Meet Eduard one of our four PADI Instructor Internship Candidates

Eduard is one of our four PADI Instructor Internship Interns and winner of the Four Seasons Resort Landaa Giraavaru Instructor Internship Program. The Program started on June 19th and will have a duration of a total of 12 weeks. The Candidates are working closely with PADI Course Director Andy Auer and will be more than just well prepared for the upcoming IDC in July.

Compressor Training with PADI Instructor Interns Maldives

Great Progress at the PADI Instructor Internship at the Four Seasons Resort Maldives Landaa Giraavaru. After the 4th Candidate Alessia arrived and joined the earlier arriving Kerstin, Sergey & Eduard, we now progress with the well designed trainings program for them to ensure a great training and a lifelong experience.

Today on the schedule “Air and NItrox filling procedures and Compressor operation” a good idea and valuable skill for every Dive Instructor.

The Release of April the Turtle with Course Director Andy Auer

Great News from our Marine Discovery Center in the Baa Atoll! After exact 72 day’s April the Olive Ridley Turtle found by Resort Guest trapped in a fishing net, we where able today to release her into the beautiful waters of the Indian Ocean. Special thanks for our guest sponsoring the “Turtle Rescue Project” , the Marine Discovery Centre Team, the Dive Center Team, the Medical & Recreation Team and of course our F&B Team with our Executive Chef Stuart Newbigging providing April with her favorite Shrimp diet.

With new programs and more online resources than ever before, Project AWARE supports an unprecedented global movement of divers acting in their own communities to protect oceans and implement lasting change.

Project A.W.A.R.E is focusing in two major ocean issues –Sharks in Peril and Marine Debris, or trash in our ocean. Truly, there are many conservation issues converging on our ocean planet at once, but we’re concentrating on these serious problems where scuba divers are uniquely positioned to directly and positively affect real, long-term change in these two areas.

New Emergency First Responders with Course Director Andy Auer

Course Director Andy Auer teaches Staff Members at the Four Seasons Resort Landaa Giraavaru the Emergency First Response Primary Care Course. This is the First patch of Emergency First Responders with the idea to create an ” Island Ambulance” at the Resort in the Baa Atoll. We have many Staff Members here who know how to give basic CPR and First Aid so Andy Auer, but what does really happen when the doctor then comes and takes over, or how do we work together as a team? This will be the First Resort in the Maldives who actually has an active ” Responder Team” trained to respond as a Medical Response Team for Medical Emergency’s to increase guest and Staff well being at the Four Seasons Resort Landaa Giraavaru!!
