PADI Assistant Instructor Course – AI Course

The foundation of PADI Instructor Development is the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC). The program consists of two parts-the Assistant Instructor (AI) course and the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) program. Combining the AI course and OWSI program makes up the IDC.

Successfully completing an Assistant Instructor Course (AI) course allows instructor candidates to earn the PADI Assistant Instructor rating which authorizes them to function as instructional assistants and independently conduct a number of great PADI programs. AI course completion also qualifies candidates to participate in an OWSI program.

Candidates who are already certified as PADI AI’s are invited to do their IDC at the reduced OWSI price.

IDC Phuket pre-study – free of charge with IDC !!!!

During the complimentary two days Pre-study at Dive Asia in Phuket with our staff instructors and your Course Director Andy Auer will guide you through your

reading assignments and help you understand PADI standards, educational philosophy, training suggestions and other background information.

You’ll also be completing the several new exams including Physics, Physiology, Skills & Environment, Equipment and the RDP. The dive theory is usually the most common improvement area for IDC candidates. You’ll receive feedback on any missed question and additional explanation if needed.

In the purpose for diving build 20 x 20m swimming pool you’ll practice all the skills from the IDC Skill Circuit and the Rescue Diver Course exercises, to make sure you up to date and ready for the Instructor Development Course

With this intense 4 day additional IDC Pre-Study days, you will have the best preparation possible for your PADI Instructor Development Course. Join Course Director Andy Auer and his Staff Instructors in the Classroom where we elaborate in great detail Diving Physics, Physiology, Equipment, Dive Planer (RDP and eRDPMl) and Diving Skills & Environment.
We will also go in the custom for diving designed Pool to practice with you all the skills from the PADI Open Water and Rescue Diver Course, practice knot tying and using a lift bag so when the IDC starts you already have a heads up start.
This program is specific designed for those who did the Divemaster course a while ago or like to get ready for the IDC in a group rather than study alone at home.

The IDC begins with independent learning prior to Course begin, and covers both the Assistant Instructor (AI) course and the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) program.

The PADI Crossover program acknowledges that you’re an experienced scuba instructor who only needs an orientation to the PADI system.

This condensed course focuses on first analyzing and understanding the PADI system, and then adapting your instructional style to conduct PADI programs.

The Crossover program consists of the five days OWSI program.

Emergency First Response & Care for Children Instructor EFRI & CFCI

This course teaches Instructors and Divemasters how to organize, conduct, market and promote the PADI Emergency First Response Course. The course emphasizes hands-on skills practice and demonstrations. We have placed the EFRI Course in between the IDC and IE to give you some additional teaching practice. The EFRI Course is low stress and makes you feel confident and relaxed prior to the IE.

Our EFR Instructor Course includes PADI’s Care for Children program

With EFR being a vital part of several PADI certification levels (including, Rescue Diver, Divemaster, Assistant Instructor and Instructor development) it is the one most marketable course in the PADI System of diver education and allows you to offer all-inclusive programs. Students will not have to look elsewhere for the training they need.

Also since the Emergency First Response course is not diving specific, you can offer this training to all your customers, friends Co Workers and family.

PADI Instructor Examination – IE

After completing all aspects of the IDC or the (OWSI) program, you are qualified to participate in the PADI Instructor Examination directly after your IDC with us . This two-day program and is conducted by PADI Staff, and not by your Course Director. This ensures impartiality and fairness during the testing process. When successful at the (IE), you will become certified as an PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor.

The IE consists of four sections. To get certified as a PADI Instructor, candidates must be successful in all four areas. If a candidate is unsuccessful in one or two areas, then that candidate must attend another IE and complete only that area in which he was unsuccessful. For example, if a candidate was only unsuccessful in the Open Water portion of the exam, then he or she would only redo and pay for that part at a later IE. This saves you both time and money.

Your Course Director Andy Auer will go over the IE in great detail during the IDC here and ensures all your questions have been answered.

PADI IDC Staff Instructor Course – IDCS

Welcome to the Low Pressure Seat at the IDC. Similar to the partnership between AI’s and Instructors, IDC Staff Instructors work with your Course Director Andy Auer as very important team members in the instructor training process.
As an PADI IDC Staff Instructor, you may staff instructor development programs or IDC and instructor-level continuing education courses. You will also be qualified to teach the PADI Assistant Instructor course – a responsibility only you and PADI Course Directors share. The IDC Staff Instructor Course is a prerequisite for the prestigious PADI Master Instructor rating and will give you a very different understanding about PADI Programs, Courses and Philosophies.
This complex Course is highly recommended for anybody who is striving to become a Dive Center Manager.
