Congratulations New PADI Instructors in the Maldives with Course Director Andy Auer

Congratulations to the New PADI Instructors Daria, Stacey, Kate, Vanessa, Gianluca, Simon & Ali !

All of the seven candidates did very well throughout the IDC and proved to PADI Examiner and Regional Manager Thomas Sobotha, that they have what it takes to be a PADI Pro.

One more time Course Director Andy Auer has proven that his program with the PADI Instructor Internship is the way to a 100% success with a 200% fun factor.

Now fun time will start with the Specialty Instructor training, where we will have fun in the water by learning how to teach , Wreck, Nitrox, Deep, Night, Underwater Propulsion Vehicle, A.W.A.R.E. Fish ID and Underwater Digital Photography.

Beach Clean Up in the Maldives

Great day in the Maldives at the Project A.W.A.R.E. Beach Clean up.

Organized by our Interns and new PADI Instructor we also want to make sure that as a New Dive Instructor you have a good idea and understand the importance in getting people involve in Clean up day’s and events
together they collected more than 15 bags of trash on an inhabitant island in the Maldives commonly used by local people and resort for pick-nick!!

Course Director Andy Auer 100% Success at July IDC in the Maldives

Congratulations to the 6 Candidates of the July IDC with Course Director Andy Auer in the Maldives at the Four Seasons Resort Landaa Giraavaru. All of them have done very well during the IDC and where well prepared for the IE with PADI Examiner Mr Thomas Sobotta. Special Congratulations to Eduard Meijer from Holland scoring 100 % in all written exams including the PADI Standards and Procedures Exam.
The IDC here in the Maldives was 100% success and 200% Fun !!!

New IDC – Staff Instructor Memo at the July IDC Maldives

Congratulations Memo in achieving the rating of PADI IDC – Staff Instructor at the July IDC in the Maldives with Course Director Andy Auer.
Memo has been working with the Four Seasons Resort Landaa Giraavaru for the past 3 years and is currently holding the position as “Senior Instructor” in the Dive Center.
“I learned a lot at the low pressure seat where there is no exam waiting for me at the end of the course” so Memo recommending this course for every Instructor who takes diving serious and want to progress in his career!
Memo is well on his way already in becoming a PADI Master Instructor and will be continue to assist in the future IDC’s together with PADI Course Director Andy Auer in the Maldives. WELL DONE MEMO !!!!!

Great first day at the PADI Instructor Development Course in the Maldives with Course Director Andy Auer. The 6 Candidates from Holland, Germany, Canada, Russia and Maldives will in the next 10 day’s learn what it takes to become a successful PADI Diving Instructor.

UNESCO Declares Baa Atoll a Biosphere Reserve

The UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserves covers internationally-designated protected areas, known as biosphere reserves, that are meant to demonstrate a balanced relationship between humans and nature and encourages sustainable development.
Baa Atoll has been known for its natural beauty and thriving marine ecosystems. In order to protect the area for future generations, last year September, Ministry of Housing and Environment requested from UNESCO to declare Baa Atoll as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
Hanifaru Bay is considered one the few places in the world where whale sharks congregate in to mate. The bay is however home to some of the largest gatherings of Manta rays worldwide with up to one hundred individuals in the small inlet when the tide pushes plankton into the bay.
During the 23rd session of the MAB-ICC held from 28th June to 1st July 2011, in Dresden, Germany, UNESCO announced that the area meets the requirements to be declared as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, and declared Baa Atoll as a Biosphere reserve.
o date, total membership has reached 564 biosphere reserves in 109 countries occurring in all regions of the world. This already takes into account some biosphere reserves that have been withdrawn or revised through the years, as the program’s focus has shifted from simple protection of nature to areas displaying close interaction between humans and the environment.

Meet Eduard ….

Meet Eduard one of our four PADI Instructor Internship Candidates

Eduard is one of our four PADI Instructor Internship Interns and winner of the Four Seasons Resort Landaa Giraavaru Instructor Internship Program. The Program started on June 19th and will have a duration of a total of 12 weeks. The Candidates are working closely with PADI Course Director Andy Auer and will be more than just well prepared for the upcoming IDC in July.

Compressor Training with PADI Instructor Interns Maldives

Great Progress at the PADI Instructor Internship at the Four Seasons Resort Maldives Landaa Giraavaru. After the 4th Candidate Alessia arrived and joined the earlier arriving Kerstin, Sergey & Eduard, we now progress with the well designed trainings program for them to ensure a great training and a lifelong experience.

Today on the schedule “Air and NItrox filling procedures and Compressor operation” a good idea and valuable skill for every Dive Instructor.

Course Director Andy Auer at the Four Seasons Kuda Huraa

Course Director Andy Auer and the Dive Team at the Four Seasons Kuda Huraa in the Maldives just accomplished the Instructor rating of Andy’s very own Distinctive Specialty ” Shark Diver”
You will now be able to take this Specialty at the Four Seasons Kuda Huraa with Instructor Nazeer, Yuki, Angela and Cathrine. You will have a short informative and fun theory session where you will learn basics about where Sharks are coming from, how long they have been swimming in our Oceans, how to recognize and most important how to protect them. In the optional Open Water Dive you will apply what you have learned in the class while observing those wonderful and elegant Sharks at the Maldivian Thilas and Reefs.
